Graphicacy in the Generative AI Era: A PRISMA‑ScR Scoping Review of an Emerging Three‑Way Intersection in Education

01 · The Question
Where three things meet
This review looks for studies where three things meet: reading or making charts, generative AI, and learning. The skill of reading and making charts is called graphicacy.
It asks how much research sits at that meeting point, what job the AI does there, and how the studies measure chart skills.
The plan was fixed and registered before screening began. A registered plan like this is called a protocol.

11 databases, four of them regional
Each bar is the number of records a database returned. A record found in more than one database counts in each. Open a row to see the exact search.
03 · Flow of Records
From the search to the studies that fit
This follows the standard diagram for reporting scoping reviews (PRISMA‑ScR). Dashed boxes are not final.

06 · Changes From the Plan
Every change is logged
Small changes are listed in the final report. A bigger change needs an update to the registered plan on OSF first.
07 · Checks
The numbers check themselves
This page is built from plain data files by a small script. The script runs these checks each time. It will not rebuild the page if one fails.
